WOW! What a game this is! So addictive with a lot to do and many bonus features. The PGA Tour Season mode lets you challenge against all the well known great golfers including Mike Weir, John Daly, Tiger Woods himself and Phil Mickelson. There is also a new feature- EA GameFace in which very detailed character creation takes place. Other games modes include the traditional stroke play and match play competitions, along with Long Drive Shootout and Speed Golf, all very entertaining. But perhaps the best feature of the game is the world tour, a series of match-play competitions against characters real and made up in the game. Each opponent having their own strengths and weaknesses.
All in all a great game, certainly the best golfing game around! Recommended for the golfer or for the gamer looking for something different.

This game is by far the best golf game I have played to date. Where the graphics in 2003 were great, they have found a way to top that and make it even better. The courses look brilliant, magnificently detailed down to the smallest divet. Game play is great also, with the "world tour" option being my personal favourite. During this mode you play against pros, each getting harder and harder the more you progress. The Pro Shop is another new feature that is simply amazing. You are able to customeize your golfer completly, adjusting their hair style, their face, the way they swings their club, their reactions ... the list goes on and on. There is hundreds of pairs of clothes to fit him/her with also, as well as different clubs, shafts and balls. The futher through the game you get the better the sponsorship offers you gain, this adds further incentive to keep playing. Length wise I found this to last me for a segnificant amount of time, more than a month playing very often each day. So for hard-core gamers this will appeal also, difficulty is moderate, it takes a while to get used to but when you do it is well worth it. Controls are simple with many added features since the last game including a new chip shot. Overall I found this game to be of the highest quality, EA have found a way to top the previous game tremendously, I wonder though is will they be able to do it again when next year comes round? Only time will tell.

Well, what can I say, apart from the fact that its a shame we have to wait another 2 months for this title to be released! This game looks like it has THE LOT - 19 courses including five new PGA courses and two new fantasy courses, Detailed Career mode - where you can play the brand new 52-week PGA Tour and obtain sponsorships along the way, World Tour mode replaces Tiger Challenge for a more varied experience, Extra gameplay modes include Long Drive Shootout, Best Ball, alternate shot, Stableford scoring, and Battle Golf (you can choose any 1 club to remove from your oponents bag to make things more challenging for them......note, they can do the same to you as well), Detailed Create-a-Golfer mode, Pro Shop gives you the opportunity to buy sponsored apparel, equipment, and even special animation sequences, More players - 15 PGA pros and 12 original players such as "The Don", Real-time PGA Tour events according to consoles internal clocks, EA Sports Bio - memory card tracking system rates you based on all of your EA Sports title performances and Online play (PlayStation 2 only). The create-a-golfer feature is definately the thing EA have pushed and perfected in this title. EA gives players total control over a huge number of body morphing variables, including everything from skin tone to jaw size. If you dont want to spend 20 minutes creating yourself, just use the randomiser and eventually youll find something you like. Gamers will also have access to a huge Pro Shop. In the Pro Shop youll be able to purchase sponsored apparel. There are over 115 shirts, tons of shoes, glasses, and even headbands. EA says there are thousands of items for gamers to buy with the money theyve earned playing the single and multiplayer modes. As far as what exact brands we can expect, a company representative commented, "We have all the major brand players youd expect to see in a golf game."
